Does Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC offer written contract?
We strive to ensure that your investment of event DJ & Entertainment is protected throughout the planning process. Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC requires a signed service agreement with every booked even. Again, this not only protects Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC but it also protects our clients.
How long will you hold our event date for us?
Your date will be held until your event is complete or a notice of cancellation is submitted. We do require a minimal nonrefundable deposit of $150 for all events which secures and holds your event date.
Can we Meet in person before signing a service agreement?
We will setup a time for you to meet with your DJ prior to the signing of you service agreement. This is a best practice for Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC to ensure our clients know exactly who they will be working with. Our service agreements are signed digitally, however if you would like to have your service agreement signed in person, we can also make that an option on a case by case base.
How long have you been a DJ?
Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC DJ’s have over 20 years of experience. DJ Money have been working for several local DJ companies covering well over 1,000+ events & 500+ weddings. Other members of our staff have been in the business from anywhere between 2-5 years. I assure you, no matter who your DJ is, we hold our staff to the highest quality of experience, and professionalism.
What other types of events does Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC do per year?
Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC is what would be considered a “jack of all trades”. We offer customized DJ entertainment services based on the needs of our clients. We offer DJ entertainment for Corporate events, Birthday parties, Festivals, Bars, School Events (Prom, Homecoming, School Dances, etc.). These are all individual types of events that we have serviced in the past, however this is a minimal list in comparison to the services we offer.

This is a great question and we know it’s something that comes across the minds of all consumers no matter the services they are requesting. I can bore you this a long list of things that separate Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC from our competitors, however the key to our story is that we are a “FAMILY”. We work hard not only to build our business in a matter of making money and building community relationships, but we also strive to ensure our clients know they matter, and they are important to us. Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC is truly a family owned & operated business. Dwayne & Cory have been friends rather brothers for well over 23 years. They met while working with a local DJ company and have been working towards a common goal of building a business of pure loving entertainment for families and the community to enjoy.
Will we meet our DJ a 2nd time before our wedding/event?
As a professional DJ services, we do require a final meeting with our wedding clients. Since weddings can be a bit more detailed than other events, we want to ensure that we have the most up to date information regarding your wedding. We like to schedule this final meeting two (2) weeks in advance of you wedding date.
Though we do not require a final meeting with all events, we do leave it to the discretion of our client(s). If you would like to meet with your DJ for a final meeting prior to your event date, we ask that this request be submitted in writing. This request should be submitted three (3) weeks in advance and scheduled two (2) weeks in advance of your event date.
How involved can we be in selecting music for our event?
We take pride in working side by side with our clients with the customization of their music play list. With that we also ask all clients to complete a (DO NOT PLAY LIST). For Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC we are all about our clients and ensuring their events comes with nothing but enjoyment and fun for all. Therefore, we ensure the involvement of our clients is a true reality. Our goal with every event and every client is to exceed your expectation, and we will always honor your play & do not play lists.
What will you wear for our wedding?
We Strive to exceed your expectations, though our DJ do not wear formal Tuxedos, as a company we do require all staff including our DJ’s to dress in a semi-formal fashion. This means that all staff will be dressed in slack, dress shirt and tie. Depending on the type of wedding and location, staff and DJ attire may change to ensure they are comfortable and presentable as all times. At times you may see our staff in a company branded polo or button up shirts without a tie. Again, we want to exceed the expectations of our clients and their guest and we will adjust our attire to match the formal wear of your wedding party and guest.
What time will you arrive to setup for events?
For all events we do require a minimum of 90 minutes prior to your event start time to setup our equipment. Since there are several factors that work within this setup time line, your DJ will discuss specific time frames for setup. We request that access be granted and that you work with your venue/vendors to ensure that we have access during these specific times to ensure we can setup and test all equipment.
What will you wear during setup and break down of your equipment?
During most event we like our DJ to come in and set up in comfortable attire. Considering, they are doing a lot of moving around and the work load can be intense. We want to ensure that our DJ and staff are always presentable, so we do require staff, to wear branded Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC attire. This does a few things, it allows staff to retain a professional appearance even while doing the physical aspects of the job but allows them not to get their event wear sweaty or dirty prior to the start of your event.
Do you take breaks during events?
This is a great question, as professional DJ we strive to give continuous entertainment to all clients and guest. At times we may take a quick bathroom break in between songs, but that’s about it. In these rare occasions your hired DJ may take a quick 15-30min break depending on the length of your event. In cases as this we will always have someone who is more than capable of giving the five-star continued service that we strive on providing to all clients.
Does Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC setup signs or banners?
Yes, we do display a company banner, branded table skirt, or sign. Deepening on the event type depends on the type of signage we use. We understand that some clients would prefer for signs or banners not to be displayed during that event.
This is a request that we will always honor.
Does Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC have an alcohol or smoking policy?
Great thing about Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC is we are a tobacco free company. Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC staff members are prohibited from the use or consumption of Alcohol and/or tobacco while on duty.
Do you bring back up equipment to events?
We can never determine when equipment will malfunction, to ensure we are providing top-notch service we always have additional equipment in such cases.
What’s included in the cost of my event?
Platinum Sound DJ Service, LLC offers services on a per hour basis. With this service strategy we not only are able to adequately break down pricing for each event, but we are able to customize packages for clients. We believe that every client deserves to pay for only services they need and want. We will never pre-package services.
We want to always provide top of the line service we ensure billing for services are correct and accurate by itemized billing for every service agreement.
What is the charge for overtime?
Depending on venue restrictions we do offer overtime, we love it when our clients ask for additional time. We then know that we did a great job and all guest had an amazing time and the PARTY MUST GO ON!!! Again, keep in mind this is all based on the rules of the venue. If permitted, we only charge $100/hour for additional time.
What is required of us?
This is a great question, we don’t have any specific requirements of our clients. Wait, we come in ready to dance and have fun…. We are the service provider and we do not require anything from our clients. The basics of business, between company and client is communication. We want to ensure we provided each client with top-notch service and we will be in communication with you at all times throughout the planning process, we just ask that any and all changes be referred to us with as much notice as possible.
